The view from the front steps onto the entry garden in the foreground. The yellow blooms are Corydalis lutea, a treasured perennial for its cheerful color. It is a rampant reseeder, but pulls up easily wherever it is unwanted. The pink shrub is Spirea 'Magic Carpet'. The beacon of white in the background at the entrance to the White Garden is Persicaria polymorpha 'Alba'. It dies back in winter.
