photo eight

Left: Say hello to Gigi the Giraffe, lurking in the sweetbay magnolia. She was made by Yardbirds of Louisville, KY and stands 7 feet tall. Upon request they will apply a powdered epoxy coating to their whimsical creations, so they can be out in the garden for years without rusting. Right: This is an 8 foot tool arch made from a gardener's best friends, a shovel and a spading fork. I ordered it from a catalog, but can't think of which one. Behind the arch is another piece of whimsy – a cement cat that I adopted in Minnesota when they hosted the AHS national convention. It is one of about 20 cat images that could be found in the garden on tour day. Some of you might remember the little grey neighbor cat that was in the garden that day. She was sooo happy that you all came to visit her.
