photo nine

Here's another great photo by Kathleen Nordstrom of Minnesota (formerly North Dakota). Two large beds follow the curve of the central oval lawn, and two more beds are on the right edge closest to the sidewalk. A low brick and wrought iron wall separates the garden from the street. On the outside of the wall are hostas and irises depending on the amount of shade. The beautiful little russet daylily in the foreground really put on a show for the convention. It is Ginger Cookie by the late Joyce Lewis of Murchison, TX. I still grow two angel-wing begonias that he gave me over a decade ago.
