photo four

This small backyard garden was designed to maximize planting areas, and the plant heights were chosen so that shading of the daylilies is minimized. Companion plants were carefully chosen, because there's no room to spread ferociously here! The tallest focal point of the garden is the Hakuro nishiki willow seen in the back of this photograph. I had one in my old garden which I loved, so I purchased another one for the lake.
