spacerHomeplace gardens is owned and operated by Ken and Cindy Dye located in Gastonia, NC on several acres of landcaping and cleared space. Cindy began collecting dayliles in the mid 1980's and hybridizing soon followed. The first introduction came in 1994 and Ken began his own program 10 years later.

spacer As years went by and they began to have more time available, more land was used for seedling production. Today, both Cindy and Ken have won Regional seedling awards, and Cindy's HOMEPLACE CHERRY FACE won an AHS Honorable Mention award. Cindy also tied for the 2009 AHS Region 15 Hybridizer's Award for her ALL CREATION SINGS introduction. Ken and Cindy are both active in several local clubs and the chairing of local shows. Both are Garden Judges. They enjoy many aspects of the daylily world but hybridizing is still their favorite and they visit many gardens each year to stay on top of advances and trends.
