I love impatiens, and now grow them from seed, after years of buying multiple flats each spring. They bring so much color to a shade garden like this, mixed with hostas, heucheras, alyssum and columbine. When walking the garden last season with a rustic male visitor, he told me he didn't think "dead people" should be laying about in the garden. I still giggle at that phrasing - I hope most folks can see that this is a very happy sleeping angel!
