My name is Marianne Joosten and I would like to welcome you to the daylily show garden of the Joosten Family in Rutten, The Netherlands.

In 1997 we created a show garden of over 2400 m² in the shape of an iris flower.

The garden is situated just outside the farmyard border and can be reached through the farm garden and a small bridge. The garden holds over 1400 different daylilies combined with irises and other perennials.

In 1988 we ordered a small collection of irises from Mr. Gerritsen; he had a nice daylily collection too which he offered for sale one year later. It was the first time I got in touch with these plants and it was love at first sight.

Meanwhile daylilies and irises have become my hobby and my job. A dream come true.

After I bought several varieties myself I wanted to share the beauty of daylilies with everybody. That is why we started a nursery in 1995 and created a show garden for the visitors. Here you can discover the sheer beauty of older daylily plants. Clumps with over 50 flowers open per day.

In 2009 we added a collection of angels and elfs. At present we are busy multiplying daylilies that perform well in our climate.
