spacerThe gardens were started by Ellie's dad and stepmother in the early 80's. When he passed away the gardens became more than his wife could handle. Upon her death, Randy purchased the home and gardens. After cleaning, redesigning, and replanting the gardens came back to life in a reimagined form.

spacerRandy had started hybridizing in their home in Midlothian, those plants and others they had acquired moved with them to Serenity Hill. The garden is home to historical daylilies, local hybridizers and many of his new introductions and seedlings. Along with the daylilies are many different other types of flowers. There is also many unique buildings to catch your eye as you walk the garden. One of the focal points of the gardens is the Koi pond built by David (Ellie's father) that allows you to sit by and enjoy the garden and the fish.

spacerThe gardens are open several times during peak season for visitors to come and enjoy and take something home with them that catches their eyes.
