Jane's Maple Bread Pudding |
1/3 cup raisins 2 egg yolks 1 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup granular maple sugar (or brown) Grated nutmeg Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Set baking dish in a pan of hot water and bake, uncovered, for 40 - 45 minutes, until firm in the center. Serve hot or cold. For a fancy dish: Beat 2 egg whites with 1 tablespoon of maple sugar. Spoon over the hot pudding and return to a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
