Like many plants and features in our garden, this one has a special connection to a special person. My daughter bought it for my mother on a long-ago Mother's Day. Mom grew many begonias in it, and when she passed, I brought the planter home with me. I plant a begonia in it every year. One day, I hope that it will find a new home in my daughter's garden.
